Christmas Worship

December 23, 2018
Worship Service - 10:00AM

Christmas Eve - December 24, 2018
Family Worship Service - 4:00PM

This special service is geared towards families and children of all ages – in fact, our children and youth are part of the worship team and participate throughout the service.  As one of our most well attended services during the year, you’ll want to arrive early to get a seat.  We sing familiar Christmas Carols, read the Christmas story in a way children can relate to, and build a live nativity scene in the front of the church as the story unfolds.  At the end, all children are invited to come forward and join together in singing a Christmas Carol Medley and then watch as a birthday cake for Jesus is brought in complete with lit candles as we sing Happy Birthday to Jesus.  The kids follow the pastor and cake to Fellowship Hall where it (along with other refreshments) are enjoyed.  Parents, grandparents and the whole congregation join the party at the conclusion of the service.

Candlelit Service - 8:00PM
Candlelit Service - 10:00PM

These identical services are designed in a quiet, meditative style for older youth and adults.  Each person who attends is given a candle to light and hold near the end of the service when we sing Silent Night.  The dimly lit sanctuary allows for a sense of contemplation and mystery as we share lessons and carols and a brief meditation by the Senior Minister.  The choir offers special music for this holiest of nights and many of our worshippers say this is one of the most meaningful services of the entire year.
