Adult Education: Exploring the Lord's Prayer

Join us this spring for a special 3 week class exploring The Lord's Prayer! This course will be led by our own Connie Black, a graduate from a UCC Seminary, Chicago Theological Seminary.

Students will learn about the Lord's Prayer from it's earliest origins to it's current form. An overview of the theological background of the Lord's Prayer will include Shemac, Didache, Gospel Parallels, and the Syriac Lord's Prayer.

We will examine the "our" and "Father" components of the Lord's Prayer, examining the different meanings behind those words. We'll also talk about heaven,  how we get there, and the plight of the human condition.

This course is free, all are welcome, and there is no need to register! Join us and bring a friend for this exciting seminar.

Classes will meet in the Parlor on Thursday evenings from 4:30PM-6:00PM on May 3, 10 and 17.
