Join us for the 2026 Holy Week.

Starting on March 29th, our Lenten journey will enter its final phase: Holy Week. Our services will share the greatest story ever told: the death and resurrection of Jesus. I wanted to invite you to join our Holy Week journey at The Neighborhood Church. This is also a wonderful opportunity to invite friends, family and neighbors to see what we are all about.

*March 29th is our Palm Sunday Service starting at 10:00. This commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey as the crowds wave palms at him in adoration. It is a day of triumph and tragedy, as the crowds who shout "Hosanna!" (Hebrew for "save us!")) are the same ones demanding his death on the cross.

*Our Maundy Thursday service starts at 7 PM on April 2nd in the Sanctuary. Maundy comes from the Latin word mandatum or commandment. John relays the story of Jesus giving his followers a new commandment: to love one another as he loves us. This is also the first celebration of Communion and we will share in the bread and cup that evening.

*Good Friday begins at 7 PM in the Sanctuary. It is a service of Tenebrae which is the Latin word for darkness. We will remember the Crucifixion by reading John, singing, and praying. As we move through our time together, the worship space will become progressively darker until all light is gone.

*Holy Week concludes with Easter Sunday. The tomb is empty! He is risen! He is risen indeed! TNC will have two services that day: our Sunrise Service starting at 6:30 AM followed by a Community Breakfast or our traditional Easter Service starting at 10:00.
