Did you know— the word Maundy comes from the Latin word mandatum, which means to entrust, or to mandate. From John's account of the Last Supper, we learn that Christ taught his disciples the new commandment "to love one another," and gave new meaning to two of the special foods used at Passover-- bread and wine.
Join us for our Maundy Thursday Service as we continue our Holy Week services at the Neighborhood Church. Everyone is welcome to join us on Thursday, March 29 at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall to experience this beautiful service. Each guest is asked to bring a soup bowl and spoon and enjoy a simple meal of soup (meat or vegetarian), bread and water following the service. Childcare will be provided if needed— please contact Myra at (310) 541-8485.
